Cycle training in Witney

Learn to ride a bike

Bikeability is the national standard for cycle training in the UK. It is a progressive training package, offering the skills and experience to ride safely on todays’ roads.

In partnerships with Oxfordshire County Council, our friendly team of qualified instructors deliver Bikeability Balance, Learn to Ride and Levels 1, 2 and 3 to children in 42 primary and secondary schools in West Oxfordshire and Cherwell Districts.

We believe every child should get the chance to learn this life skill.  If you want your school to deliver Bikeability please ask them or get in touch with us.

Our Bike Library makes bikes available for disadvantaged children in West Oxfordshire, removing financial barriers to taking part in Bikeability. If your child hasn’t got a bike and receives free school meals they may be eligible for a cycle on long-term loan.

We aim to offer a fully inclusive service for Bikeability.  If your child has additional needs that mean they need an adapted cycle to take part please watch the video below, check out our Wheels for All page, and get in touch.  We can set you up with a cycle that suits your child for the course.

“Once again, a huge thank you to you and the team for our Bikeability provision this year, especially in the wet conditions!  It is a joy to see how much the children get out of the sessions, especially for those lacking that initial confidence”. Middle Barton Primary School

“It’s worked so well this year and got some very tricky children through and feeling successful all due to the fantastic trainers. Please pass on our thanks”.  Headteacher.
